We are very conscious of first impressions and an enduring and methodical work ethic that has you, the customer, in mind. From dust sheets to bollards and barricades where necessary, a common sense and pragmatic approach to cleanliness, health and safety and sensitivity to the environment in which we work are a given.
All electrical installations are tested prior to energising and commissioning, with no exceptions. I was taught by a very methodical employer who was employed on the mines on the gold belt in South Africa during his apprenticeship many years ago, and he talk umbrage to being called a “sparks”, as this was a name attributed to the less careful, often clumsy and ultimately dangerous product of the industry!
Anything built requires maintenance – fact. The extent and frequency of maintenance however can be significantly mitigated by the implementation of best practices and quality materials. “Save now, pay later” and its antithesis are absolutely true and although some installations are installed poorly the option to redo or repair are the only solutions.
Experience cannot be bought, and this valuable commodity provides the basis for good all-round performance, whether it be initial design work, implementation methods, material selection and maintenance reduction.
Faults do appear and are part of our every day lives. The human error aspect accounts for a very high proportion of faults and can lead to damaging results. We have found that the skill of fault finding is an increasingly diminishing skill set and very few technicians either understand or wish to understand the principle of operation of components or the first principles of the installation.
